About Tania de Miguel Magro
Dr. de Miguel Magro specializes in Early Modern Spanish Theater. Her research revolves around issues of gender and the subversive potential of theater. Her most recent work focuses on short theater and non-canonical texts. She is the author of Staging Violence: Gender and Social Control in Jácaras and Entremeses (Routledge, 2021) and the co-editor of Social Justice in Spanish Golden Age Theatre (University of Toronto Press, 2021). She has also prepared multiple editions. Her work has appeared in journals such as Cervantes, Bulletin of the Comediantes, Romance Quarterly, eHumanista, RILCE, Anagnórisis, Cincinnati Romance Review, Postcript, Hipertexto, Symposium, Hispanic Studies Review, Pterodáctilo, etc. At WVU, she mainly teaches courses on Spanish literature, culture, and language. She is also member of the Board of the AHCT.
